Carrie serves as SVA’s Compliance and Consulting Manager and has over 25 years of experience in the healthcare industry. She has been involved in leading and coordinating HIPAA privacy and security efforts in organizations since 2002 and is a participant in the HIPAA Collaborative of Wisconsin Privacy Work Group.
Carrie provides active oversight and support for the SVA compliance program for revenue cycle management services. She leads the development of compliance policies and procedures, monitoring, compliance education, reporting, risk analysis and mitigation.
Carrie leads a team of experienced healthcare consultants and advises numerous healthcare practices and organizations to achieve compliance and business objectives. She advises on medical identity and data theft awareness along with strategies for risk prevention.
With recent trends and regulations in the industry, she has expanded her activity to include ICD-10 readiness, promoting the relationship between EHR meaningful use and HIPAA HITECH regulations and increasing understanding of Medicare quality initiatives.
