A comprehensive major medical and dental insurance plan is offered to all full time employees. SVA assists with premium costs by contributing a percentage of the premiums for both single and family coverage and deducting the balance of the cost on a pre-tax basis from the employee’s payroll. Employees and their dependents become eligible for coverage the first day of the month immediately following the month of their employment.
Employees may enroll in a voluntary vision plan for themselves and their dependents. Premiums are paid by the employee through pre-tax payroll deduction.
Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA) provide employees with an important tax advantage that helps pay health care and dependent care expenses on a pre-tax basis. Cash that is now spent on dependent care, deductibles, co-payments and vision care, for example, can be placed in a special account before the money is taxed.
Eligible employees are enrolled in our firm’s group life insurance plan, which is designed to help employees plan for their families' financial needs in the event of their death. The cost of this insurance is fully paid by the firm.
Employees may purchase additional life insurance for themselves, their spouses and their children. Premiums for this insurance are paid by the employee.
Short-term disability insurance provides eligible employees with a source of income after two weeks of disability up to 90 days. The cost of this insurance is fully paid by the firm.
Long-term disability insurance is intended to provide eligible employees with a continuing source of income after 90 consecutive days of total disability. The cost of this insurance is fully paid by the firm.
SVA believes that each employee needs some rest and a change from day-to-day activities. For this reason, we have a program of flexible time off and holidays. In addition, our professionals manage their time and workloads giving them increased flexibility and time off throughout the year.
SVA sponsors a 401(k) Profit Sharing Plan for its employees.
SVA has four compensation commission plans to reward employees for their own marketing and promotional efforts.
Employees are eligible to participate in workshops, seminars and technical sessions, etc., that will assist them in the performance of their job. For those programs that are approved, costs (such as registration fees, mileage, hotel, meals, etc.) will be paid by the firm.
Full time employees may choose from several different plans to help meet the financial obligation of a long term care situation for themselves or a family member. Premiums are paid by the employee.
SVA financially supports the obtainment of specialty designations. Examples include CPA, CMA, CFP, and CPC.
SVA offers an Employee Assistance Program to its employees and families. The EAP is a confidential way of seeking professional guidance in facing and dealing with personal problems.
Employees dress appropriately for their duties and schedule for the day, which may include professional business attire or business casual.
