Dean Hunt, Business Development Manager of SVA Certified Public Accountants in Appleton, WI was honored as Agency Volunteer of the Year at the Annual Celebrating Our Volunteers Gala on April 17. The gala, held at the Radisson Paper Valley Hotel was presented by The Post-Crescent and Community Foundation for the Fox Valley Region.
Hunt was recognized for his efforts and dedication to “The Building for Kids” initiative. Hunt is currently the Vice Chair of the Children’s Board of Directors. He developed and is now Chairman for the annual children’s parade in the City of Appleton. The parade and fundraising event draws approximately 5,000 children and family members. Through sponsorships and food sales the event raises approximately $15,000 annually for the Children’s Museum. Dean also serves as the Chair of the facilities committee and sits on the executive committee.

About The Building For Kids
The Building for Kids Children's Museum was established in downtown Appleton, Wisconsin in 1991 and opened in November 1992. In 2006, the museum was expanded and completely renovated with new exhibits designed by kids for kids. The mission of the museum is "to build children's imagination, creativity and confidence". The Building for Kids Children's Museum is a not-for-profit 501(c)(3) organization supported by donations, memberships, and admissions. Nearly 110,000 visitors enjoy the museum each year.
