SVA takes pride in the communities in which our clients, business colleagues and our professionals work and play. We support our communities by giving back in a variety of ways; volunteering both our time and expertise, fulfilling Board of Director roles, supporting fundraising efforts of local philanthropic organizations, and providing leadership in a variety of organizations designed to improve our lives within our communities.

    Shen Yun Performing Arts - Madison, WI

    SVA is pleased to sponsor the Shen Yun Performing Arts as they come to the Overture Center in Madison on April 4-5.

    As the world’s premier classical Chinese dance company, Shen Yung brings to life the culture of classical China through brilliantly choreographed dance and original orchestral compositions, showcasing a fusion of traditional Chinese instruments with classical Western instruments. Shen Yun is highlighted by the magnificently costumed dancers, vivid displays of color and digital backdrops blending with each dance.

    Rhapsody In Bloom - Madison, WI

    We're "Puttin' on the Ritz" at Rhapsody in Bloom on Saturday, June 16! Guests will party the night away 1920s style at Olbrich’s premier garden gala. The evening begins with hors d’oeuvres and cocktails in the Gardens. Dinner by Circolo Catering’s professional wait staff will be served under an elegant white tent on the Great Lawn.

    A silent plant auction will deliver the adventure of bidding on amazing items for your garden. This year’s auction will also showcase new garden related items, along with exotic and unusual plants, and container gardens designed by Olbrich's horticulture staff.

    26th Annual Frostiball: A City of Lights! - Madison, WI

    Join DMI on Saturday, February 4th, 2012 from 9:00pm-1:00am at the Overture Center for the Arts, 201 State Street, for downtown Madison’s most glamorous winter gala, the 26th Annual Frostiball: A City of Lights!

    Back by popular demand, the Michael Walters Orchestra will entertain guests throughout the evening. The jazz sounds of The Doug Brown Trio and special performances by Fred Astaire Dance Studio will also light up the night. Complimentary hors d’oeuvres, desserts, champagne, wine, beer, soda and coffee drinks also included! The Honorary Hosts for the 2012 Frostiball are UW-Madison Chancellor David and Judith Ward!

    United Way Giving Tree & Holiday Wish Book - Madison, WI

    SVA supports the United Way with The Giving Tree Project and Holiday Wish Book program. Heart-shaped gift request cards with a child’s name, age and gift wish list are available at each of the SVA office locations. From mid-November until December 12th, cards can be selected and holiday wishes filled with the donation of a new (and wrapped) gift. The United Way’s goal for the 2011 Giving Tree is to have over 900 gifts donated to Head Start children and their families. Any donations must be received by December 12th with the heart-shaped gift request card attached.

    NBC 15 Share Your Holidays to Eliminate Hunger Food Drive In Support of Second Harvest Food Bank - Madison, WI

    2011 marks the 16th year for NBC15 Share Your Holidays to eliminate hunger. Southwestern Wisconsin’s largest food/fund drive campaign has raised more than 20 million meals for families facing hunger since its inception in 1996. Spanning six weeks each year, the NBC15 Share Your Holidays campaign provides a myriad of fun events and opportunities for corporations, organizations, schools and individuals to raise funds, food and awareness for hunger relief.

    Toys for Tots - Madison, WI

    SVA Madison is a 2011 collection point for The Marine Corps Toys for Tots program. SVA employees, clients and families are encouraged to drop off any new and unwrapped toys until Wednesday, December 7th. The toys will be collected and distributed during the holiday season.

    Over the 62 years of the U. S. Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots Program, Marines have distributed more than 400 million toys to more than 188 million needy children. This charitable endeavor has made U. S. Marines the unchallenged leader in looking after less fortunate children at Christmas. Over its 18 year life span, the Marine Toys for Tots Foundation has supplemented local toy collections with more than 81.3 million toys valued at more than $487 million; plus has provided promotion and support materials valued at over $6.3 million.

    Art Ball 2012 - Madison, WI

    As sponsor for the Arts Ball, SVA Nonprofit professionals, Rebecca Muehl and Lynn Heslinga volunteered their time to assist during the silent auction- preparing invoices and bid sheets. Arts Ball is one of Madison's most enjoyable events, celebrating two cultural institutions, Madison Museum of Contemporary Art and the Madison Symphony Orchestra. Creative venues are part of the Arts Ball tradition, this year being held in a private airplane hangar!

    Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure - Madison, WI

    SVA is a proud Silver Sponsor for the Madison 2011 Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure being held on Saturday, June 4 at Willow Island at the Alliant Energy Center.

    The Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure® Series, the largest series of 5K runs/fitness walks in the world, raises significant funds and awareness for the fight against breast cancer, celebrates breast cancer survivorship and honors those who have lost their battle with the disease. Since its inception in 1983, the Komen Race for the Cure series has grown from one local Race with 800 participants to a global series of more than 120 Races with more than 1 million people expected to participate in 2011.
