  • Retirement Plan and Benefit Plan Audits
    SVA professionals are knowledgeable about specialized financial statement audits for retirements and benefit plans including U.S. Department of Labor limited scope audits.
  • Financial Statement Audits, Reviews and Compilations
    SVA provides the standard services for preparation of audited, reviewed and compiled financial statements that meet the requirements of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA). Our professionals are knowledgeable about specialized financial statement audits which meet the requirements of Government Auditing Standards; U.S. Office of Management and Budget Circular A-133; the Provider Agency Audit Guide, 1999 Revision, issued by the Wisconsin Departments of Health and Family Services, Workforce Development, and Corrections; and/or regulatory agencies such as the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD); U.S. Department of Agriculture, Rural Development; Illinois Housing Development Authority (IHDA); Wisconsin Housing and Economic Development Authority (WHEDA); etc., as well as requirements established by several national real estate syndicators and investors.
     
  • Agreed-upon procedures engagements
    SVA provides a variety of agreed-upon procedures (AUP) engagements which may be tailored to satisfy the requirements of owners, developers, investors, regulatory agencies and others. These AUP engagements are performed in accordance with the standards issued by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA).
     
  • Regulatory and statutory compliance engagements

  • 10% Expenditure Certification (LIHTC)
    SVA has been a leader in the low-income housing tax credit arena since its inception in 1987. As such, we are knowledgeable in the requirements to obtain and maintain the credit. SVA has prepared 10% test letters for our clients, meeting the requirements of various states. In addition, we are knowledgeable with the pitfalls of various transactions that could put the credit in jeopardy.
     
  • Cost Certifications
    SVA provides cost certification financial statements that meet the requirements of investors, fulfill financing requirements of regulatory agencies such as HUD and state housing agencies (WHEDA, IHDA, IFA, etc.), and meet the low-income housing tax credit requirements established by these state agencies.
     
  • TIF Audits
    SVA professionals are experienced with tax incremental financing (TIF) district compliance audits.
     
  • Projections and Forecasts
    SVA professionals examine or compile forecasted (and/or projected) financial statements for clients looking to syndicate real estate projects or who seek project financing. These financial statements will meet the requirements of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), as well as the Security and Exchange Commission (SEC), if applicable.
