The Story

Valuation Research Corporation (VRC) was frustrated with their business technology! Their previous Microsoft partner heavily customized their Microsoft Dynamics solution in an effort to meet VRC’s unique business needs. Instead, this left them crippled—unable to upgrade to a new version with increased functionality due to the significant costs associated with upgrading the customizations.

They turned to SVA Consulting, their newly designated Microsoft Partner, for answers.

SVA Consulting’s Technology Specialists re-implemented VRC’s existing software and disposed of the customizations. Using functionality inherent to the software, SVA was successful in setting up the system to streamline VRC’s processes and meet their business objectives. In addition to the Microsoft Dynamics solution, SVA recommended that VRC implement a self-service web-based project manager solution using Business Portal and SharePoint to assist with project setup as well as analysis and reporting.

Because of the SVA recommendations and implementation, VRC is seeing results. The time spent on billing has been reduced from 32 to 8 hours, a dramatic increase in efficiency and productivity. In addition to saving time, VRC has been able to increase the accuracy and timeliness of their billings and improved their sales reporting capabilities as well. Reports are now being generated in less time, saving nearly 30 hours per month, while at the same time providing enhanced visibility for decision making.
